My Worst Fear x2

What a horrible first day of school, I have yet to attend all my classes and I already have two assignments due worth a good chunk of my mark. Oh the horrors, and well it really seems as though this semester will screw me over worse then my previous semester. Everything seems to irrelevant, and I have no interest in attending any of my classes. Next year however, I have the ability to just take three required courses, and the rest are electives. Yay! So there is a positive outcome to my misery, but you know what will happen, I’ll be given the worst choices possible and my life will once again be screwed over. Er… and what upsets and grinds my gears even more is that I have to spend a good chunk of money on books I will open once and use for one assignment. It’s depressing, and I’m having difficulty finding any of the books I need in used copy. Everyone is attempting to screw me over in some way.

In other news, my life is yet again at yet another block. It seems that after this week, until my mid semester break, I’m pretty much screwed and doing nothing till the summer. I’m really hoping my family goes on vacation, since that will turn my spirits around completely. I just feel so stressed and pushed down that I’m floating in homework, work, etc. I have no “me” time anymore, and it’s really getting annoying and well.. fustrating. Yeah, I love making money, and completing university to get out of working in retail for the rest of my life, but it is quite annoying and repetitive, and sometimes I question if I should have just went to college and gained a quick degree/certificate. But who knows whats the right decision, maybe college could get me a higher paying job?

Hot Flash with a Cold Shiver

Finally I have placed up a new layout. I hope you all enjoy it, considering its a major change and I feel its bright and cheerful and reflects what I hope 2009 is like. 2008 has been such a horrible year with deaths, school work, etc. that I am in need of a brighter outlook on the future. Back to the layout however, its different then all the other layouts I make, and I feel it is very simple, yet serves its purpose. Also, the graphic at the top is a brush made by yours truly. I was bored and thought, why use someone else’s brushes when I am more then capable of making my own. So I hope you enjoy the new fresh look of Mannequin Dance!

Life’s been pretty busy lately with work scheduling me in forty hours a week, then since I’m working in retail, it was insanely busy with Christmas and Boxing Day. So yeah, my social life has been at a stand still and next week I will finally have a bit of time to do things before heading back to school.  I’m hoping maybe to go out for New Years Eve,  go to Toronto or Buffalo to shop and well, just hang out with friends in the coming week. However despite saying my social life is at a stand still, I did attend a taping of  the WWE Raw/SmackDown! Supershow on Monday which was amazing. I went with my brother and two friends, and yeah, despite SmackDown! being pointless, and Raw matches being minimal, with more talking occurring then wrestling, I had a great time and will surely go again.

And thats about it. I’d type more, but I feel like trash today, I have a head cold and its just being so intolerable. Last night, I had a fever and had the horrid feeling of being burn hot, yet shivering. It was horrid and I got barely any sleep, since I had to keep throwing on blankets to calm the shivering. In addition, I haven’t really gotten any sleep this week since my shifts at work have been exactly twelve hours apart and all night shifts and it can be difficult sleeping when the sun shines into your bedroom.

Avenged Sevenfold = Amazing

So last night I attended an Avenged Sevenfold concert after way to many months/days of waiting. The concert was initally supposed to happen on September 11, 2008, then it got cancelled and moved to December 17, 2008 because of M. Shadow’s voice difficulties, so heres my small recap.

So doors opened at 7pm, so I went early around 5:30 since I love the feeling of entering a venue early, having a choice where to stand, use the bathroom, etc. and not being rushed. I went to the concert with my brother and his friend, considering, none of my friends are fans of the band, or have even heard of them. When we got there, 200 people were waiting and I swear to god, it was -10 with a lake breeze. The concert was sold out, and has been for quite some time and yeah, by the time it reached 6pm, there was at least 500 people. I froze to death, and by the time the concert started, I could not feel my toes. This was due to the fact that I get freaked out by coat check, and prefer to just enter venues without having to go through there, and getting stopped when leaving. Also, some Canadian idiot was just wearing just shorts and like a vest with no shirt when in line. I thought they were insane, since I couldn’t feel my toes. Then, we were let in a bit before 7 and the insanity began.

For once, I can brag and say I was not the oldest person there. Crowd was filled with people over the age of 20 and it was a sausage fest (all older men), and men that were huge and extremely large. All the other concerts minus university run, tend to be female dominated, but this defied my norm. The huge men also acted as barricades, and if you did not move, you could not see anything. However, there was also a fair amount of younger individuals including my brother and his friend. When the concert started around 7:30, Burn Halos came out, and got the worst reception I have ever seen. Lets say.. the crowd was dead. You could have a tumbleweed roll by (like in old Western movies), and no one would care. However, it was probably because everyone was frozen, and had no motivation to move around. So, we listened to their set, and during it, some huge 300+ pound, 6′ something guy comes and literally moves my brother behind me, at which point I got into an argument with my brother laughing at the fact that he is not aggressive at all. After the band left the stage, the crowd became squishy, and well to the norm for a rock concert and by the end of the set, it was like we were sardines. However, before I continue, I must say the one guy who played bass in Burn Halos, was gorgeous! haha. Total fan girl moment on my part. Also, at this point I was about five rows from the barricade. What? Off

Firknally, a real update, but no new layout. It is in the works though, I just haven’t made anything I really like, so be on the look out for that. Other then that, what have I been up to?

Well..

- University exams/final projects
- Working a part-time job that’s been giving full time hours.
- Hanging out with friends.
- Attending concerts.
- And other misc. stuff.

Ew, and to ruin a nice December, I had a stupid cavity filled today. I hate cavities and what makes it even worse was that my wisdom tooth caused the cavity. It wasn’t because of brushing, it was because of the stupid tooth growing in. Oh how I hate wisdom teeth. Other then that, my life has still been pretty busy, considering work and school cut down on my time and cause me to rearrange and reorganize my life. So that’s it for now, I’ll update more often now, since I have a bit more time.

Note: Right now, I’m attempting to make a layout, and well.. since I haven’t done to many designs lately due to my availability, I’m having an amazing offer … 50% of all orders over $8! Say what? I think you should order today. Just make a comment in your order saying.. FTSK is Amazing, and I’ll take up the offer.

The Public Don’t Dwell on My Transmission

I love how I disappeared for almost a month with no update, or real contact online. I’ve been so pulled down by homework, concerts and work that I literally have no time for my friends, family or anything else. It’s pretty darn hectic and I really do not know how to explain it other then, it will continue until mid December. Therefore, orders right now are technically on hiatus, or well.. will take a long while until I actually get some time to complete them.

Since the last time I updated, I bought tickets to see.. THE KILLERS! Haha, I’m super excited about attending and.. well, my parents and brother are actually going with me to the concert since their all fans as well. So in a circumstance that would regularly be very awkward, I think we’ll all enjoy ourselves since I won’t have to experience their questioning all the time about what song are they playing.. etc, and they’ll be just as into the concert as myself and brother. So yay! I’m excited about that, however it won’t be taking place till late January, I was unable to get tickets to their date later this month in my city, since they went on sale during a hectic time where I wasn’t even aware about anything, so yeah they sold out without my knowledge and now scalpers want insane amounts for the tickets that, unless I win the lottery, am not willing to pay.

Well thats it. I think I’m going to go grab some lunch! Oh, and new layout early December!
